This is not your usual survival horror game where the player can have a traditional weapon or any ammunition to fight the enemies. The game takes place in a desolate psychiatric hospital overrun by homicidal patients, situated deep in the mountains of Lake County, Colorado and owned by the Murkoff Corporation where a freelance investigative journalist named Miles Upshur decides to investigate about the whole fiasco happening in the asylum after having received an email from an anonymous person raising concerns about the safety of the facility and Murkoff. Outlast is a first-person action– adventure survival horror video game developed and published by Canadian company Red Barrels.
